Nice county restaurant .

Loved the interior. Food was okay. Good service. Never heard of a buffet wherr dessert was separate.

High quality tasty food selections in a cozy country setting.

What an experience! I had not been here since I was a little kid and it was just like I remembered. Food is good and prices are good. Staff is awesome too!

Nice, oldschool country restraint. Like cracker barrel but the real thing. Food was great, service was friendly. And it's the only restaurant for miles so enjoy.

First visit here about a month ago. An adorable restaurant...very homey and comfortable. The food was good and so was the service. I would definitely go back.

Stopped by restaurant today for lunch with my wife for the first time. Have passed by several times heading to OBX. We were the only customers in restaurant. My wife ordered the club sandwich and the special was hot roast beef sandwich which I ordered. Apparently the cook working didn't know how to make what I ordered so I ordered the club also. The person that waited on us while we were eating our sandwiches brought out a plate with the hot roast sandwich on it. She said everything thing was on the house because of the mix up in kitchen. I told her that wasn't necessary but she insisted. So we left with our tummies full and a carry out hot roast sandwich. I recommend this restaurant with it's southern hospitality.

Cozy atmosphere. I love chicken salad but was a little dissapointed that it was too sweet. Homemade chips were awesome and hubby liked the catfish,also delicious hushpuppies. Waitress was attentive but not overly friendly.

Charming little country restaurant in Corapeake. We took a short stop for afternoon sweet tea and pie. If you love charming rustic, this is the stop for you.

Great place out in the middle of no where

Best small Sunday buffet anywhere. Although small, everything is absolutely delicious. Also, this is the only buffet I've ever seen that has Smithfield ham (country ham) on it. The fried chicken is wonderful and the potato salad is some of the best I've ever tasted. Lima beans and corn are like home made. Of course there's much more. We live in Portsmouth and make the 45 minute drive (each way) 3 or 4 times per year. It's that good. It's in an old country store building converted to a restaurant. The uniqueness of the decor changes with the seasons and always adds to the atmosphere. The buffet today was $9.95 not including drink, tax or tip. Note that the only negative is that the buffet does not include dessert but dessert is available at an extra price.

The Sunday buffet has the finest country ham you will ever eat in your entire life. It is cut so thinthat you can almost see through it. This is the proper way of serving country ham. They have the best fried chicken you'll ever eat, and everything is freshly prepared. I highly recommend the Sunday buffet.

This is a definite Small town Country restaurant in Corapeake, N.c. The staff is seasoned however very friendly and hospitable. The establishment used to be a horse barn, then a post office back in the olden days. But now it serves its purpose as a local country restaurant; in a blip of a small town. A very simple/country family style dining atmosphere. All wood interior with ornate country decor. The food has a country, home cooked; southern comfort vibe. Big portions, if you want to share. Good price & food. Freshly made dessert pies! Yum! Nothing fancy here just simple country cooking. Family friendly, indeed. You can call in to place a to-go order if you don't want to dine in, just pay and pick up. They do keep a, fake, tree in the front window and decorate it according to the holiday or season. Very COUNTRY! "Yal, Come back now; ya hear". Enjoy!

Great down home cooking!

Love this restaurant! My kids took me for mother's day. Was busy after church but kept things moving with a large room in the back for 7 of us and an infant. Charming and the BEST real country buffet !! Felt like sitting down at grandmas on Sunday's after church! Best fried chicken EVER pot roast,butter beans and corn, rice,warm spiced apples,biscuits and desserts. Plus 7 people plus desserts for $89. WHAT???

Not the healthiest of menus but good food and very friendly staff

I spent my summers nearby as a kid, but we didn't eat out much back then. Now as an adult, this is almost always the first place I stop when I get back to NC! Their food is excellent. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal. You'll swear your grandma is in the kitchen! They have some of the best eastern NC BBQ you'll ever eat, and you can't get enough of their hush puppies! They offer a great buffet on Sundays too!

Came across this place randomly while out for a drive. I stopped and a lady came out and asked if I wanted a menu. They are only doing takeout at the moment but i got loads of food for $10.75. 3 meals worth! Will definitely come back and eat in this historic restaurant!

Food was exactly the way my grandma prepared it. If you're driving fast you'll be sure to pass by it but this unassuming interior opens into a beautiful country interior. The staff were very friendly and the service was great.

Such a nice place to eat. Has a very home style atmosphere where you feel comfortable and welcomed. The waitress I’ve had every time I’ve gone was amazing. Couldn’t of had a more tentative and nice waitress. Wait time was very reasonable with amount of people eating. The food was AMAZING! So good, the perfect home cooked meal. We make it a point to go every so often. Great place to take the family. Reasonable bargain prices. Costs us no more than thirty for whole family 2 adults and 2 kids.

I really like this place. It's very comfortable, nice antiques on display. This place does draw a crowd. Mostly locals, but travelers stop there too. Fairly large menu, something for everbody. Great southern food.

Sunday buffet was great. Service was extremely good as well! We never ran out of our tea and were checked on several times. Homemade food and desserts can't be beat!
